I’m Heidi Christine, the U.S. CEO of Sparkle Africa, and a woman called to ignite transformation, healing, and hope globally. My life’s mission is to help people discover the strength, beauty, and purpose that already lives within them—often waiting to be awakened.

Through my work with Sparkle Africa, I’ve witnessed the power of compassion to change lives, restore dignity, and spark possibility in even the most challenging places. I believe that when we serve others with love and lead with conviction, we create ripples that touch generations.

Every day, I’m driven by a deep desire to inspire hearts, uplift communities, and remind people that their story is not over—and their future can shine brighter than they ever imagined.

Sparkle Africa's Founder and CEO

Sparkle Africa was founded in 2015 by Hendrik Strauss, driven by a clear and compassionate mission: to restore dignity, hope, and opportunity to underserved communities across Africa. For the past 10 years, Hendrik has led the organization with unwavering commitment—building trust on the ground, developing sustainable programs, and ensuring that every initiative meets real needs with integrity, accountability, and heart.

Under his leadership, Sparkle Africa has grown from a local outreach effort into a respected international nonprofit providing consistent care to orphans, widows, youth, and vulnerable families. Through nutrition programs, educational support, empowerment initiatives, and urgent community relief, the organization has become a lifeline for those who too often go unseen.

In March 2025, Sparkle Africa expanded its global reach with the appointment of Heidi Christine as the US CEO. Her role is focused on strengthening U.S. partnerships, advocacy, donor development, and strategic expansion—ensuring more individuals, families, and organizations can join the mission to create lasting change across Africa.

Together, with a decade of proven impact and a growing international leadership team, Sparkle Africa is advancing its vision to transform communities through compassion, empowerment, and sustainable solutions—one life, one family, and one village at a time.
